I miss the blogging camaraderie that we used to have.

I blogged on our myspace page that maybe we needed to kill the Band Camp web page. Ol' Promo Dave was one of the people leading the charge to keep it.

And yet, he has practically disappeared.

...sigh...

Turkey
2006/11/23 - 21:19:50
I cooked a whole Thanksgiving meal - this is after eating all I could at Andy's - just so I could have my own left-over turkey sandwiches.

Yummy

I made my gravy a little different this year. I made a homemade turkey stock on Wednesday. After the turkey was finishes roasting, I used a white wine to de-glaze the roasting pan.

The white wine added a nice touch that even an Italian would have enjoyed it!

PS - I am meatball-less and forever saddened by it.

What a bummer of a season so far for me - Pittsburgh is playing like crap and OU is 3-2 (though they should be 4-1 - thanks Oregon officials).

"We" better pick it up and start playing better or "we" are gonna have some really bad years.

It was exactly what you would expect a Jack-Ass movie to be - funny, disgusting, blah, blah, blah.

The item of note is that I got IDed to get in. Not once, but twice. The first time when I bought the tickets and then again when I tried to get into the theater.

Yeah - I look 16.

The State Fair started yesterday. There is no better plave to 'people watch' than the State Fair.

I am ready for some fried pickles, indian tacos, corn dogs, cotton candy, gator on a stick... and anything else I can get my hands on.

You may gain weight over the holidays. I gain weight at the fair.

I sometimes sit and make myself giddy over how I am in a cover band. I used to be so opposed to cover bands. Then I grew up. Dammit.

We are learning some more covers for your entertainment.

Then again, I think the real entertainment is the Jager drinking.

********

Eating lunch alone sucks.

I work from home so obviously there is no one readily available to eat with. And I live B.F.E. so I have to drive a long ways to eat anywhere.

So, when no one wants to meet me, I drive a long ways to eat alone. It's a hrad knock life, but workin in my PJ pants makes it worth it.

This is wierd having no upcoming Band Camp gigs.

Taco Bell is still the best food ever made.

McDonald's breakfast is soooooooo over-rated.

iHop > Village Inn > Denny's > Kettle > Waffle House

I still havent heard the new Iron Maiden. Shhhhhh! Don't tell Andy!

I took the kids to the Broken Arrow/Muskogee football game tonight. Soon after it started, Keegan left to go find friends, leaving me with my daughter. It was the first time that the two of us had been at a football game together in 4 years.

We happened to be seated directly in front of the cheerleaders (not the Tigettes, but the actual cheerleaders). Kendra had mentioned in the past that she wasn't too fond of cheerleaders, but she seemed very interested.

She didn't know much about the game and kept asking me questions. At first she would clap and cheer and lean over and say, "I don't even know why I'm cheering, but it's fun." :-) But as the game wore on, she started doing the cheers with the crowd and with the cheerleaders - BA! BA! BA! Broken Arrow Tigers!!!!

The gentleman sitting to my right leaned over and asked Kendra if she was going to be cheerleader when she got older. She smiled really big and blushed, but could only manage an, "I don't know."

The high point of the night came after an exchange of possesion, BA gave the ball up and before I could say anything, Kendra started yelling, "Defense! Defense! Defense!"

:-)

It didn't even matter that we lost.

1. College football starts this week! Woo Hoo!!!!! Boomer Sooner bitches!

2. I had a few complaints about the message board being gone, so it is back up. The funny thing is that the people who complained don't ever post, but they liked reading it for some reason.

3. Hopefully, everyone will be getting out of the summer doldrums soon. This site is in a lull.

4. A Taco Bell bean burrito might simply be the best food item on the planet.

5. Kudos to Lori for making me go home with her and PJ on Saturday. I was in the Jeep ready to roll when she put a halt to that crap. And also thanks to Vicki for taking me home Sunday night and then Kathy for taking me back to my Jeep.

6. We need to start making more money so I can hire a driver. :-)

Someone had a Promo Dave like response:

"My ex's roommate had Duck Hunt and a gun. Used to p!ss her off when I'd spend more time playing Duck Hunt than with her. All tried to be sexy and seductive.

Leave me alone btch. These ducks won't shoot themselves!"

A new restaraunt opened recently at 71st & Elm in Broken Arrow. I know I am not spelling this correctly but it is called Hayka's Heimet.

If you like German food, or if you want to try something different, I recommend this place.

I took Kendra and she order the weinermayer. After she was done giggling at the name, she really enjoyed it, especially the fries.

Now thw big news: I ordered the Jager Schnitzel.

Yes, you read correctly. They have food made with JAGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was awesome!!!!

Baker St
2006/07/27 - 11:09:29
Well, last night I drove down to OKC to play at Baker St. Pub with Mark Meeker of RPM, Mark Nelson of Late Night Drive, and Ben Hosterman of Flowers For Zoe/Idiut Box.

We had never played together live, much less practiced together.

On the drive there, we were discussing our current bands' song lists and possible songs we could play. We came up with about 40 - more than I thought.

Anyways, we decide to do the Guns-N-Roses method of calling them out as we go... or I would just start something and hope they could follow along. Since I was by far the musical novice of the group, they had no problems keeping up with my collection of 3 chord pop/rock songs.

It was sometimes brilliance, sometimes train wreck, but it was 100% fun. So if you ever drive by a marquee and see "Baker St. All-Stars," you should stop in, have a beer and enjoy the spectacle.

Proper English
2006/07/25 - 16:42:56
I was gonna type a message on myspace to someone, but from the entire band and I was a bit perplexed on how I should properly word something...

"Band Camp loves you."

Easy enough, but what if I wanted to use Band Camp Geeks?

"Band Camp Geeks loves you."
OR
"Band Camp Geeks love you."

I realize that a plural noun usually goes with singular verb (and vice versa), but Band Camp Geeks isn't really plural - it is a singular entity that happens to end with an "s".

And then... what if I decide to use the ever-popular acronym/abbreviation?

"BCG love you."
OR
"BCG loves you."

Oh, the madness!

Help, Sarah!!!!

"Everybody relax, I'm here."

"When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, looks you crooked in the eye and asks you if ya paid your dues, you just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that, 'Have ya paid your dues, Jack?' 'Yessir, the check is in the mail.' "

"Okay, I get the picture White Tigers, Lords of Death, guys in funny suits throwing plastic explosives while poison arrows fall from the sky and the pillars of heaven shake, huh? Sure, okay, I see Charlie Chan, Fu Manchu and a hundred howlin' monkey temples, and that's just for starters, right? Fine! I'm back! I'm ready, goddammit let me at 'em! "

"Ok, you people! Sit tight, hold the fort and keep the home fires burning. And if we're not back by dawn... call the president."

"Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big old storm right in the eye and says, 'Give me your best shot. I can take it.' "

"It's all in the reflexes."

"We really shook the pillars of heaven, didn't we, Wang?"

Just moved to Oklahoma! Now this is a state that knows how to live!! Beautiful sunny days and warm balmy evenings. What a place! It is beautiful. I've finally found my home. I love it here.

June 14th:

Really heating up; got to 100 today. Not a problem. Live in an air-conditioned home, drive an air-conditioned car. What a pleasure to see the sun everyday like this. I'm turning into a sun worshipper.

June 30th:

Had the backyard landscaped with western plants today; lots of cactus and rocks. What a breeze to maintain. No more mowing the lawn for me. Another scorcher today, but I love it here.

July 10th:

The temperature hasn't been below 100 all week. How do people get used to this kind of heat? At least, it's kind of windy though. But getting used to the heat is taking longer than I expected.

July 15th:

Fell asleep by the community pool. (Got 3rd degree burns over 60% of my body); missed 3 days of work. What a dumb thing to do. I learned my lesson though - got to respect the ol' sun in a climate like this.

July 20th:

I missed Lomita (my cat) sneaking into the car when I left this morning. By the time I got to the hot car at noon, Lomita had died and swollen up to the size of a shopping bag, then popped like a water balloon. The car now smells like Kibbles and $hits. I learned my lesson though. No more pets in this heat. Good ol' Mr. Sun strikes again.

July 25th:

The wind sucks. It feels like a giant freaking blow dryer!! And it's hot as hell. The home air-conditioner is on the fritz and the AC repairman charged $200 just to drive by and tell me he needed to order parts.

July 30th:

Been sleeping outside on the patio for 3 nights now, $225,000 house and I can't even go inside. Lomita is the lucky one. Why did I ever come here?

Aug. 4th:

It’s 115 degrees. Finally got the air-conditioner fixed today. It cost $500 and gets the temperature down to 85. I hate this stupid state.

Aug. 8th:

If another wise a$$ cracks, 'Hot enough for you today?' I'm going to strangle him. D@mn heat. By the time I get to work, the radiator is boiling over, my clothes are soaking wet, and I smell like baked cat!!

Aug. 9th:

Tried to run some errands after work - wore shorts, and when I sat on the seats in the car, I thought my a$$ was on fire. My skin melted to the seat. I lost 2 layers of flesh and all the hair on the back of my legs and a$$. Now my car smells like burnt hair, fried a$$, and baked cat.

Aug 10th:

The weather report might as well be a d@mn recording. Hot and sunny. Hot and sunny. Hot and sunny. It's been too hot to do $hit for two d@mn months and the weatherman says it might really warm up next week. Doesn't it ever rain in this d@mn state? Water rationing will be next, so my $1700 worth of cactus will just dry up and blow over. Even the cactus can't live in this d@mn heat.

Aug. 14th:

Welcome to HELL! Temperature got to 115 today. Cactus are dead. Forgot to crack the window and blew the d@mn windshield out of the car. The installer came to fix it and guess what he asked me??? "Hot enough for you today?" My sister had to spend $1,500 to bail me out of jail. Freaking Oklahoma. What kind of a sick demented idiot would want to live here??

Will write later to let you know how the trial goes...

Feeding the Monster
2006/06/27 - 12:37:15
I never thought I would feel like Dr. Frankenstein, but these days I kinda do.

The Jager thing happened by chance early on. There was no grand plan. I was broke and thirsty and playing a show. "If you like Band Camp, Band Camp likes Jager," just seemed to slip out. If I remember correctly, we had two rounds sent to us in the next song.

The monster was born.

Now, people expect to hear it. They can't wait to buy us a round and repeat our other signature phrase, "It's all about the Jager!"

As Dave so eloquently stated in the comments of Robby's blog - this is no way to live to reach the age of 75. But what the hell - you are only young once...

And the monster must be fed.

Friday - Baker St. Pub in OKC. That place is crazy. Thanks for the shots Seth!

Saturday - Another Band Camp show at Fishbonz. I am still trying to recover some memories.

Sunday - Acoustic at Bonz and Randy's birthday. I took it "easy" and still... well, you know what I did. :-)

Old School Discipline
2006/06/08 - 15:55:05
I was eating at Taco Bueno today with the kids. As per usual, Bueno has the slowest order-to-food time in the fast food universe.

So, while I am standing there waiting on my food, a woman has just finished filling up three cups with soda and has them stacked up on each other. Her son, who looks like he is about 10 walks up to her. The Mom says, "Take one of these cups." As he is reaching for the top cup, the boy asks, "What did you get me?" The Mom sharply replies, "I'm gonna give you a fat lip if you don't do as your told and sit down."

Needless to say the boy was quite embarrassed. He grabbed his cup and slowly meandered over to his table with his shoulders slouched.

Let's hear it for old-school discipline! Woo Hoo! Way to go, Mom!

What To Wear
2006/05/25 - 18:27:02
A lot has been discussed about what clothes I should wear. If these people only knew... the more clothes the better.

Let's pretend that I am not short and dumpy for a moment... even though women are the best part of any crowd, there still needs to be a guy contingent if we want to have a good sized crowd. And what guy in his right mind wants to go watch a band that has a half-naked singer??

Not many - that would come to Band Camp anyway.

So I will cover myself adequately as usual.

"Too bad when I was a kid there wasn't a guy in our class that everybody called the "Cricket Boy", because I would have liked to stand up in class and tell everybody, "You can make fun of the Cricket Boy if you want to, but to me he's just like everybody else." Then everybody would leave the Cricket Boy alone, and I'd invite him over to spend the night at my house, but after about five minutes of that loud chirping I'd have to kick him out. Maybe later we could get up a petition to get the Cricket Family run out of town. Bye, Cricket Boy."

I guess I better get used to it.

This week-end is Rooster Days in Broken Arrow. I have been going since I was young kid and have yet to see a rooster, but I guess the name has a meaning somewhere.

Back in the day, Rooster Days was held in the downtown area and it was crowded but had a lot more "charm" than the current set-up in Central Park.

**sigh**

I wish it was still held downtown.

When I was a kid, I used Rooster Days as my yearly poster replenishment stop. Every year there would be new posters of Heather Thomas or Samantha Fox to win at the trusty balloon popping game.

I wish I had some funny antidotes to make you smile, much the same way that Robby and Dave do quite frequently.

But alas, I am the boring one in the band.

I have no terrible ideas for sitcoms. I have no drunk friends breaking into my house to drink. I have no scintillating stories of yeast and buns.

I just sit at home all day, by myself, reading the goofy stories of my Band Camp mates.

Life certainly gets better at some point, right? Or is this as good as it gets?

Certainly I could think up a better sitcom than Dave! Do I not have drunken friends like Robby? Granted I dont play with yeast and buns like Mickie... But I digress...

Maybe someday I will drink a funny drink and I will become funny.

Prolly not.

Last night I attended the Fall Out Boy concert in Norman. It was a wierd experience. I sat there by myself (my son left me to join the masses on the floor of Lloyd Noble) and noticed things that used to not bug me...

For example, during the Fall Out Boy set, a youngster had crowd surfed his way over the front barricade. As he was walking over to the side of the stage to re-join the crowd, the bass player had a roadie grab him and pull him on stage. Pretty cool, right? I thought so. But then the bass player stopped playing and put his arm around the kid and started talking in his ear. Prolly not noticed by the other 13,999 people in attendance was that the low-end/bass never disappeared. It kept right on going. After the bass player was finished talking, he started "playing" again, but again, there was no discernable difference to the music.

There were multiple examples of said incident all night, especially from the band 2nd on the bill, but since I like them and they are from Oklahoma, we won't mention it. :-)

Regardless, after the song, the young boy that was pulled up on stage was allowed to run and do a massive stage dive that was met with roaring crowd approval.

Who needs to actually play when you have awesome stage diving like that, right?

PS - I knew I was in a different world when I sat there during the middle of Fall Out Boy's set and noticed that I could clearly see the other side of the arena... no smoke. When I was at Motley Crue last year and Kid Rock the year before, you could have cut the smoke with a knife. How times change...

Oh, Vermont must be beautiful this time of year, all that snow.

Yeah. . . you know something? Vermont must be beautiful this time of year, all that snow.

That's what I just said.

We seem to be getting all mixed up.

Maybe it's the music.

Maybe it isn't only the music. . .

Band Practice
2006/03/07 - 17:31:30
Lately, we have a lot of band "practices."

I remember back in the TRAMP days, our manager told us to refer to band practice as a "rehearsal" because it sounded more professional.

Haha

I don't know if jamming in a deserted mobile home with extension cables run 50 yards to our drummer's grandma's house classifies as professional. But we sure had a great time regardless.

The Bed
2006/03/02 - 16:18:25
Have you ever woken up and realized no matter what side of the bed you roll out of that it is gonna be one horrible day. Someone will pee in your cheerios. Someone's gonna steal your spot when trying to park at school. You will find a nice long hair in your Big Mac. You'll get a ticket for doing 42 in a 40. You will feel sleepy all day and stuff yourself with caffeine and then it will all hit you as you are trying to go to bed that night - and you lay awake in bed all night thinking about how tomorrow is gonna be as shitty as the last day.

What a word, tomorrow.

Tomorrow can hold so much promise. Dreams and desires and everything you don't have right now... you can can always get them tomorrow.

Tomorrow is where you find refuge from a broken today.

But maybe we shouldn't wait for tomorrow. Maybe we shouldn't procrastinate what we could do today. I say stand up people and live for today! Go for your dreams TODAY, not tomorrow!

Pass that Jager bottle NOW!

If you could be my punk rock princess,

New Favorite Song
2006/02/16 - 11:29:16
"Cannonball" by Damien Rice

Still a little bit of your taste in my mouth
Still a little bit of you laced with my doubt
Still a little hard to say what's going on

Still a little bit of your ghost your witness
Still a little BIT of your face I haven't kissed
You step a little closer EACH DAY
Still I can't SAY what's going on

Stones taught me to fly
Love taught me to lie
Life taught me to die
So it's not hard to fall
When you float like a cannonball

Still a little bit of your song in my ear
Still a little bit of your words I long to hear
You step a little closer TO ME
So close that I can't see what's going on

Stones taught me to fly
Love taught me to lie
Life taught me to die
So it's not hard to fall
When you float like a cannon

Stones taught me to fly
Love taught me to cry
So come on courage!
Teach me to be shy
'Cause it's not hard to fall
And I don't WANNA scare her
It's not hard to fall
And I don't wanna lose
It's not hard to grow
When you know that you just don't know

If you have ever seen the movie "Closer" you heard one of his other songs "The Blower's Daughter" playing in the background almost the entire movie.

Birthday
2006/01/30 - 22:54:37
As a general rule, I hate my birthday. I don't like a fuss made about it. I don't like celebrating it. I don't like the reminder that I am getting older.

But... this year is turning out to be a little different.

First, we have the Band Camp Birthday Extravaganza at Fishbonz. I don't like birthday celebrations, but playing on my birthday is a good deal. I am eagerly anticipating the Jager river that will flow.

Second, I celebrate my birthday with my esteemed colleague and bass playing extraordinaire, Promo Dave.

Third, my beloved Pittsburgh Steelers will be playing in the freakin' SUPER BOWL!!!!! Can it get any better??? Oh yeah - if we kick Seattle's ass!!!!

Fourth, Dave and I have a COOL radio spot running all week on 92.1 The Beat in regards to the show and birthday celebration. Wicked cool!

I can't wait!

(Is that better Dave?!?!) :-)

Steelers Vs. Seahawks Initial Thoughts
2006/01/28 - 14:31:40
First, I do find it funny how the 6th seed from the AFC is a 4 point favorite over the NFC's #1 seed. It speaks volumes to how the conferences are percieved and how the betting public loves Pittsburgh (which is true of the Sooners, btw).

If you look at the game initially...

Seattle sets up the pass with the run game. There is no doubt they do that very well with Alexander winning MVP this year. But to counter that, Pittsburgh is great against the run. Also to note is that Seattle only played one defense like Pittsburgh's this year - against Dallas - and Seattle struggled, barely winning 13-10. Pittsburgh's defense is much better than Dallas' - Pittsburgh actually has safeties who can cover. ;-) If Dallas would have had ANY offense that game, they would have won easily. If Pittsburgh can slow down Alexander and the blitz becomes effective, Hasselbeck has a history of imploding.

Pittsburgh on offense... will they go back to the grind it out , running game that predominated the season, or will Air Cower continue flying like the last two play-off games? I think that is where Pittsburgh has an advantage. Seattle does not know what to expect and Roethlisberger has proven he CAN be counted on to sling it all over the yard and win the game. What a lot of people don't remember is that Big Ben was in a pass happy offense in college and was an accurate QB (as well as having the cannon for an arm).

Intangibles - The Bus returns home - don't underestimate how much Jerome means to the rest of the Steelers team. Sending him out as Super Bowl champion is a BIG motivation. Victory Parades - Seattle already has their victory parade scheduled for Tuesday, February 7th. Maybe they know something Pittsburgh doesn't. Maybe Pittsburgh will be slightly offended...

Tooth
2006/01/17 - 23:36:01
Well, last night I got 1 and a half hours of sleep due to my abscessed tooth.

I managed to get an appointment this morning. The tooth is in the back and I still have my wisdom teeth coming in, so I decided to just pull this bad tooth out instead of getting a root canal.

I tried reminding my dentist that it takes A LOT to numb me. And on top of that this tooth was very infected and in lots o' pain.

After nearly 2 hours of injections of different types of numbing 'canes, I was still feeling it when he tapped on my tooth. They then hooked me up on the happy gas and left me there to soak it up. While alone, I decided to lie and tell him I couldn't feel anything anymore.

When he returned, he proceeded the extraction process. This was my first experience, and I was underwhelmed by the techniques involved. Something about escalators and forceps... Regardless, he spent 20 minutes slowly weakening the tooths foothold within my jaw bone. Since I lied about feeling pain, when he was needed at another patient, he left me with the tooth half pried out.

I am now feeling like someone was... well, like someone was ripping a tooth out.

He returned after 10 or 15 minutes and continued pulling the tooth out. After a few minutes, he noted my hands clenching the chair with a death grip and the tears running down my cheeks. I forget what he said, but I could tell he realized then that I was feeling everything. It only took him another minute or two of VIGOROUS pulling to get the tooth out.

But guess what!!!

One of the fucking roots broke off and was stuck in my gum. :-(

He then went digging into my gums with some forceps, found the root and we repeated the pulling process until the runaway root was fully extracted.

By now, my mouth felt like Jack the Ripper had spent the past 30 minutes inside. It was the most painful experience I have ever had. Thankfully, I had some very special help in dealing with the pain. I couldn't have made it without the help. Thank you.

Man, my tooth really hurts. Maybe I am becoming immune to the Lortabs .. I got another "final" mix from Ben today .. This may well actually be it .. It sounds really fucking good to me .. Suzanne really crapped on me .. I spent a LONG time on her site .. I am using Dave Cook from Kansas City to do the artwork .. I went and saw Midwest Kings at Boston's on Saturday .. They kicked ASS! .. Dawn texted me Saturday night that she touched Jon Bon Jovi .. PJ showed up at the MWK show late after getting back from the Bon Jovi concert .. His first comment was, "I touched Jon Bon Jovi." .. Wierd .. Sad April is my prolly my favorite song I have ever written .. I like V8 .. Such a healthy drink .. And tasty, too .. Now I can't get you out of my mind

Lunch Dilema
2006/01/16 - 13:33:47
Keegan and I went to Mazzio's for the lunch buffet. Keegan was out of school due to the MLK holiday and he doesn't get to partake in the lunch buffet often.

My dilema came at the soda fountain. Mazzio's is one of the few (but growing!) establishments that carries Diet Dr. Pepper on their fountain. I am a DDP fan, but... it then hit me - I was about to ingest hundreds of grams of fat and thousands of calories of pizza and delectable Mazzio's Ranch dressing. Would the regular Dr. Pepper really hurt me that much more? My hand drifted back and forth between the two fountains. Finally, the devil inside of me won out and I lived the good life of full-blown Dr. Pepper.

Me, my son and Dr. Pepper. Does life get any better?

I think not.

Lip
2006/01/15 - 10:59:54
I didnt realize how bad my lip was hurt on Friday night.

I woke up yesterday and it was hurting soooooo bad. Today it feels even worse.

For anyone not standing in the front row on Friday - when one of the birthday girls was getting on stage, her elbow came up and popped the bottom of my mic, driving it into my lip. I spent the next two songs trying to sing and stop the bleeding at the same time...

Thankfully, it hasn't swelled up - it is just a cut on the inside that doesnt seem to want to heal.

Last night at Fishbonz was interesting. It started off kinda slow, but was happening by the end of the night.

Congrats to Brad for reaching the quarter-century mark and doing a great job with starting off our final song of the night, "KICK IT!"

I think I did an ok job considering I was on my 2nd Lortab of the night before we started. My absessed tooth flared up and my back tweaked (again) earlier in the day. With the Lortab and Jager mix, it was amazing I could stand, much less perform... but at least the pain was gone for the night!

Not so much today though...

CD Lyrics :-)
2006/01/11 - 21:40:27
Courtney Love - Well, Im in love with Coutny Love | She's so cool, she breaks all the rules | She's like an angel from heaven above | Oh, I'm in love with Coutney Love | Just sitting around and watching TV | When she looks in the camera, does she see me | I leave her messages, she never calls | I send her letters and she doesnt respond | Im at a loss, dont know what to do | I know she'd love me if she only knew | I buy her records so she can be near me | And when screams I know, she's screaming at me | I dream about her bright red lips | And fantasize about her kiss | I know she really wants me there | Running my hands through her course blonde hair | Sad April - Bittersweet is your memory hanging from the cobwebs of my mind | Melancholy is more than a feeling; it’s the soundtrack of my life | There were so many things that I wanted to say | Now I can’t get you out of my mind | Sad April, the wrong place the wrong time | Disillusioned with all the thoughts of life standing in our way | Despondent and overwrought; there seemed no brighter days | And now it’s too late to change; I let you slip away | And I wonder if I was wrong | Sad April, I miss you and now you’re gone | Sad April I see you in my mind | I wonder if you’ll think of me tonight | Sad April I see you in my mind | I wonder who is holding my April tonight | Jager Man - I get to the bar and I start to think | These chicks are ugly, I need a drink | Some homely girl gives me a smile | Well, she’ll look better through Jager eyes | Yellow, skinny, fat, white, black or tan | I don’t really care, I’m a Jager man | By the end of the night I’ll be lucky to see my nose | As long as she’s coming home with me | Through Jager glasses she’s a model to me | Just hoping when we get home, she’s taking off her clothes | A girl walks up says how do you do | She been watchin me and thinks I’m cute | The poor girl missing her front teeth | Bartender, another shot for me | Last call, would you please take my keys | Cause I’m so drunk that I can’t see | But that’s the way I want it to be | Thanks to the Jager, she’s good looking | Unworthy - I see the candle reflect in your eyes | And it makes me realize | How lucky I am, I | I could not feel, I was so numb | You gave me life, you taught me love | And all these things I could not see | I am unworthy | I see your hair as it falls on the sheets | Your eyes inviting me | I feel the warmth of love in your peace | I've fallen in so deep | Well, If I'm dreaming, I | I want to sleep, I want to be | Wherever you are taking me | I do not care what I may find | I am unworthy | And as long as you are mine | The dream can never die | I opened my heart wide | And let you in | Blue - Everybody feels like lovin | Don’t ya know its true | Everybody feels like lovin | Everybody, but, but you | Now, I’m feelin kinda blue | No one else does me like that | You do what you want | You do it all the time | You say everybody cheats | And everybody lies | Everybody feels like lovin | Thought I knew it well | Everybody wants that lovin | Except you and Im in hell | Promise - You look me in the eye and say you wonder why | We seemed to lose our thing | A couple heart attack, we’ve taken two steps back | From where we need to be | And I wonder if there’s time to save us before we die | And I’m not sure what to do, but I know I can promise you | That I won’t say good-bye till you do | I love you and I promise you | That I won’t say good-bye till you do | I love you and I promise you that I do | Light begins to fade on how we felt that way | When everything was new | A couple heart attack, we’ve taken two steps back | From what we wanna do | There’s a long way to go | But I want you to know that I do | Yes, I promise you, I do | Wasting Away - I'm just sitting here in my basement | Like a zombie I'm just wasting away | I got nothing to do and nowhere to go | I'm just sitting here and getting stoned | I'm just sitting here and playing guitar | All my friends tell me that I won’t go far | But I aint got a job, I'm just sitting here | And wasting away like I did last year | And it's so damn hard to be the one who won't go far | Oh no, that's me, I'm just wasting away | Wasting away | As the days go by just drifting along | All I got is myself and singing a song | If you wanna talk, you know where I'll be | Just wasting away, my guitar and me | And I'm so damn cool to be the one who flunked out of school | Oh yeah, that's me, I'm just wasting away | Broken - I used to smile, I used to laugh | Now funny things just make me sad | But I keep on rolling along | There was a time, there was a day | When everything just came our way | But now those days are gone | Then yesterday, I saw the look in your eyes | That you feel the same way, it comes as no surprise | ‘Cause it's over | There's nothing left to say | Well, it's over | And even though there's nothing spoken | We both know that we're broken | You're too damn stubborn, you’re too damn proud | Don't like your friends or your crowd | I've had a headache since last year | Your petty thoughts, your little games | Through these years we both have changed | And now I wonder why I'm here | Now it’s time to be moving on | There’s nothing more to say | Now I’m leaving, I’m heading out | Get out, get outta my way | Lost & Found - Take your pictures off the wall | Leave no reminders here to show | That once you were here at all | I turned around, didn't see you go | They say wounds will heal with time | Thanks to you I'm sure to know | And now these scars are all mine | I turned around, didn't see you go | Then I opened my eyes and turned around | And I was left in the lost and found | And I hope you find what you may need | Even if it isn't me | Erase your memories from my mind | What was color now is grey | Though I look, I never find | Happiness has gone away | They say wounds heal with time | I don’t think they really know | And now these scars are forever mine | I turned around, didn’t see you go | You’ve been gone so long | You’re never coming back | I’ve been feeling wrong | I can’t look back | Nothing - You’re like a fading whisper | Fading in the dark | And like childhood monster | Were you ever there at all? | And I thought that we were something | But I guess that I was wrong | And now I know we’re nothing | Should have known it all along | When I think things over | Reruns in my mind | And like a four leaf clover | You’re never there to find | I miss those long nights talking | Cigarettes and coffee | Time Lost - Seems only yesterday you were lying next to me to hold | But now you’re gone, the days drag on, the nights are so cold | Everything is changed; the lights are dim and starting fade | A life once beautiful is now turning black and grey | I just wanted to feel alive | But deep down inside I feel like I have died | It seems like yesterday was tomorrow not long ago | The future seemed so bright but now I guess we’ll never know | It seems like yesterday was tomorrow not long ago | The future seemed so bright but now I guess we’ll never know | Looking back and the spring time wasn’t long ago | We would lay as the day dragged on beneath your window | Now the sun is gone, the fall is here, winter is soon | Leaves they fall, the sky is grey and nothing’s in bloom | And time can’t wait too long | When it’s gone you can’t go on | Pimp Daddy - Well, I've been around for a very long time | I've been taking your sickness and making it mine | Well, I've been around for a very long time | I've been taking your sickness and making a dime | Liquor or Kiss Her - Every time it’s all the same | Headed out to the bar and she calls my name | Hey baby where you headed to? | Stick around and I’ll be lovin you | That woman is driving me insane | Liquor or kiss her, what am I gonna do? | Do I stay home with my baby? | Though my friends are calling too | Well, I could be at the bar just a drinkin it up | Or getting some lovin soon | Liquor or kiss her, what am I gonna do? | The look in her eyes, it gives me pause | That’s when my friends begin to call | Hey buddy we got Golden Tee and | A shot of Jaeger, maybe two or three | I just don’t know what to do at all | She gimme a wink and a little smile | Says I won’t be sorry if I stay for awhile | So I run to the corner store | To get a six or maybe more | I know what I’m gonna do tonight | Lick her and kiss her, that’s what I’m gonna do | Gonna stay home with my baby | Though my friends are calling, too | Well, I could be at the bar just a drinkin it up | Or getting some lovin soon | It’s a lick her and kiss her – that’s what I’m gonna do | That’s what I’m gonna do | That’s what I’m gonna do | What am I gonna do?

NFL Play-Offs
2006/01/09 - 10:27:12
Woo Hoo!!!!

It feels good to be in the play-offs!

I feel sorry for the teams that weren't good enough... NOT!

Match-Ups this week:

Washington Redskins at Seattle Seahawks
This should be a blow out. But then again, the age-old recipe for winning in the play-offs is run game and defense. Washington can do those. Still, Seattle should win. Let's say 90%-10% Seattle.

New England Patriots at Denver Broncos
This should be the best game of the week-end. New England has it's swagger back, but winning a game in Denver in January is never easy. Will Jake, the choker from Arizona, re-emerge? Or will the new Jake stay the course? Let's say 50%-50% right now.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Indianapolis Colts
If the Colts play their A game, the Steelers have little to no chance. But the Steelers do have the aforementioned formula for winning and... it's still Peyton Manning and it's still the play-offs. Will this be the choke week or will it be next week? Let's say 80%-20% Indianapolis.

Carolina Panthers at Chicago Bears
The over-under on this game should be, what, 20 points? What a yawner. Carolina looked decent against the New York Giants, but let's be honest, the Giants are the NFC Least Champs. The frigid Illinois air and tough Chicago defense should be enough to decide the game. Let's say 60%-40% Chicago.

Happy New Year to All
2006/01/03 - 08:04:01
Well, 2006 has begun...

OU won the Holiday Bowl to end 2005. Definately the most fun I have ever had watching a bowl game.

The Steelers beat Detroit by 14 and captured the final AFC play-off spot.

Tulsa beat Fresno St. in the Liberty Bowl. That was awesome.

OSU didnt go to a bowl. Again. Haha

The CD is getting closer and closer. Hopefully, the end of this month, but prolly in February.
